Mobile Deposit Capture banner

Life is busy, but banking with Choice Bank is now easier and a lot more convenient! In addition to Personal Online Banking, and Mobile Banking, we now offer Mobile Deposit Capture! This is a service that allows you to take a picture of your endorsed check with your smartphone or tablet. Check images are sent electronically to Choice Bank for deposit.

What's the benefit?

  • Save time and money by eliminating trips to the bank to deposit checks
  • Access your accounts and check images anytime, using Mobile Banking
  • Reduce paperwork by storing your check images and transaction history on our secure site

How does it work?

After logging in to our App, you will now notice a Deposit tab on your screen. Our initial cutoff time is 5:00 pm CST on any business day. If you make a deposit after 5:00 pm, we will review and consider it a deposit for the following business day. All deposited items must be endorsed on the back with your signature and "FOR MOBILE DEPOSIT AT CHOICE BANK ONLY" written immediately below your endorsement. Once you have initiated a deposit and it passes the Data Validations described below, then your deposit will be displayed as “Pending” in the Deposit tab of our App. When the deposit is approved by the bank and goes through our nightly processing (which is quite late in the evening), then the deposit will be reflected in your balance.

Tips on using Mobile Deposit Capture:

  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit App, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
  • Sign/Endorse the back of your check, and also write"For Mobile Deposit at Choice Bank Only" immediately below your endorsement
  • When prompted for the amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos. Try not to get too much of the area surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on a solid, dark background before taking the photo.
  • Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking the photos.
  • Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner-to-corner skew.
  • Make sure that the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
  • No shadows across the check.
  • All four corners are visible.
  • Check is not blurry.
  • The MICR line (number on the bottom of your check) is readable.
